Stay Fluent 80: Tits to the Wind

At the Ogden Museum of Southern Art there is a tiny room showcasing Margarita Cabrera. She had mostly sewn sculptures and quilts on display, all with their stitches and end threads intentionally exposed. I am besotted with her technique (finishing to unfinish, making visible what is usually hidden by the end of manufacture) and how they embody a border politics.
